System Analyst & Project Coordinator (Japanese Speaking)

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

System Analysis

  • Analyze client requirements and translate them into functional specifications that the development team can act on
  • Evaluate existing systems and processes to identify gaps, inefficiencies, or integration needs relevant to the project scope
  • Understand system architecture, APIs, databases, and integrations at a conceptual level to assess feasibility and raise concerns during planning
  • Participate in sprint ceremonies and planning sessions to stay informed on progress, surface blockers early, and ensure development stays aligned with requirements
  • Interpret system-related updates from the development team and communicate them clearly to clients and stakeholders

Project Coordination

  • Track project milestones, deliverables, and timelines across multiple project engagements
  • Coordinate tasks and schedules between clients and the development team to keep projects on track
  • Monitor project progress and follow up to ensure timely resolution
  • Organize and facilitate project meetings, prepare agendas, and follow up on action items
  • Support procurement and negotiation processes with an understanding of technical scope

Requirement Coordination

  • Participating in requirement gathering session to gather and deeply understand their requirements
  • Consolidate and communicate client requirements clearly to the development team, ensuring full alignment before development begins
  • Manage ongoing requirement changes and clarifications between clients and the development team as the project evolves

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field

• 3+ years of experience in system analysis, IT project coordination, or a related role

• Native-level Japanese proficiency (spoken and written) and Business-level English proficiency

• Solid understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall)

• Working knowledge of software development concepts including web/mobile applications, APIs, databases, and cloud platforms — sufficient to engage meaningfully with developers without being a hands-on engineer

• Proven ability to manage vendor or third-party development teams
